Across Nations Project - Proyecto Hombre

The ACROSS NATIONS Project aims to improve the methodologies, knowledge and skills of professionals to promote training in social and occupational integration of people with addiction problems, through transnational collaboration of related European organizations.

The project, financed by the European Social Fund, is divided into 3 phases over 36 months during which a series of activities have been developed that guide innovation and improvement of processes, intervention methodologies, and work tools to promote training in social and occupational integration.

Specific Objectives

To improve the knowledge, skills and capacities of our professionals in the field of social and occupational integration, providing support to continuous learning through face-to-face visits to different units in EU organizations, combining theoretical and practical knowledge.

To create a space for debate, learning and exchange of ideas, approaches, experiences and/or innovative practices focused on the creation of a Social and Occupational Integration Course for professionals in the field of addictions.

To promote cooperation among entities that dedicate efforts to the socio-occupational reintegration of people with addictions, in order to share needs, achievements, challenges and identify those variables that are common to the realities of the Member States.

Transfer of Knowledge

Training of professionals to raise awareness of the importance of cross-border networking as an essential way to strengthen social innovation.

Transfer to EFTC and organizations participating in the project has focused on generating evidence that the exchange of experiences, tools and work methodologies is useful for solving problems.

Transfer to third parties has focused on sharing the progress, obstacles and results of the project, for which dissemination has been a fundamental pillar of this project.

Innovation of the Proposal

We have incorporated into this project the largest existing network of European Therapeutic Communities to accompany us in our activities.

We generated a sub-network derived from the existing one, to work in the field of social and occupational integration of people with drug use disorders.

We have developed a specific course for addiction professionals on social and occupational integration for the group, so that it can serve as a model adaptable to each country.
